The Federal Ecodesign Award, which has been awarded annually since 2012, is the highest state award for ecological design in Germany. It is awarded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Environment Agency in cooperation with the International Design Center Berlin and honors products, services, and concepts that stand out for their ecological and design quality.
Out of approx. 3000 applications, 150 accepted submissions, 26 projects were selected for the Federal Ecodesign Award 2023. With our innovation Satino PureSoft, we are part of this final round. The official announcement of the winners will take place during the award ceremony on December 4, 2023.
Satino PureSoft is our raw material sensation in the premium hygiene paper sector, giving recycled cardboard a meaningful use. Satino PureSoft is not only made from recycled cardboard and 100% recycled, but also has a 70% smaller ecological footprint compared to conventional virgin wood fibers. Particularly noteworthy is our unique manufacturing process, which also convinces in terms of softness.
The nomination of Satino PureSoft for the Federal Ecodesign Award 2023 already fills us with joy and affirmation. It shows that our commitment to sustainable product solutions is recognized and that we are on the right track with our innovations.
